I think the Obama campaing acted in an amoral way in which they used the quote to promote self interest. This kind of supports the "Myth of Amoral Business" in a sense that they were simply promoting self-interest.

I think you mean immoral, not amoral. The difference here is that some people think that businesses ought to mislead competitors and the public (hence, that business is amoral -- it cannot be expected to care about morality at all). Politics, on the other hand, pretty much nobody believes ought to be based on misinformation and deception.
So, that just makes it worse.
The particular case, though, doesn't seem too bad to me, compared to the other instances of deception from the campaigns. At least it’s not alarmist, insulting, or deliberately putting forth untrue implication. This misuse of a quote misrepresents her point, but not the substance of what she said.

I think that it is very hard to keep your morals and ethics in tact when being invloved in polotics. Although I did not vote for Obama I think he did a decent job of keeping his nose clean.
